iron maiden (resident evil)

Enemy type in Resident Evil 4. The Iron Maiden is a rarer, stronger sub-type of the Regenerador, which seemingly absorbed large amounts of sharp metallic objects into its body and expels them in the form of spikes, which can be used as offensive and defensive weapons.

In the remake, the Iron Maidens seem to have been made into evolutions of the Regenerador; upon destruction of its cores, the Regenerador then forms itself back into a spiky, deformed version and becomes even more aggressive, but its formerly concealed parasitic cores become exposed at its head through its open maw, making them easier targets.
