The main heroine of the console story set in Phantasy Star Universe, she is Ethan Waber's mentor and comrade in GUARDIANS. She is afraid of the Tenghog monsters because her mother was killed by one when Karen was young. She has a twin sister named Mirei Mikuna, and Karen impersonates as Mirei after her death so the public doesn't learn of the original Divine Maiden's death.
