la chancla
La Chancla (Spanish for flip-flop) is a feared weapon used by Latino, Brazilian and Filipino mothers to discipline their misbehaving children, either by hitting them with its sole or by throwing it at them.
It may be also known by the names ojotas (some places in Latin America), chinela, chinelo, havaianas (all in Brazil) or tsinela (in Philippines).
