liger zero
It is a lion-type mechanical lifeform that appears in the ZOIDS series.
It was originally developed by the Neo Zenebas Empire, but the Helic Republic seized the development data and used it to create its own version. Consequently, it exists in both countries.
Its most distinctive feature is the C.A.S. (Changing Armor System). This system allows it to swap out its outer armour depending on the task at hand, enabling it to demonstrate entirely different capabilities.
List of forms
Type Zero
This is the standard form of the Liger Zero.
Republic units are equipped with white armor, whilst Imperial units are equipped with red armor.
Schneider
This form is one of the variants of the Republic’s Liger Zero.
It is a close-combat-oriented form featuring orange armour and seven laser blades.
Panzer
This form is one of the variants of the Republic’s Liger Zero.
Featuring green armour and equipped with numerous cannons and missile launchers, it is a variant specialised in artillery combat.
Although it is designed to combine firepower with manoeuvrability, in series such as ZOIDS Shinseiki/Zero it is often portrayed as being so heavily armed that it struggles even to walk.
Jager
This form is one of the variants of the Republic’s Liger Zero.
It features high-output flexible boosters mounted on blue armour, making it a configuration specialised in speed and manoeuvrability.
X
This form is the sole variant of the Empire’s Liger Zero.
It boasts excellent stealth capabilities, including optical camouflage. It is capable of emitting high-voltage currents from the blades on the sides of its body.
Liger Blue Souga
This is the specific model of Liger Zero that appeared in Zoids Generations.
It is characterised by its blue bodywork, green joint covers, and the fact that it is slightly smaller than other individuals.
This unit can be equipped with Japanese-style armor and a sword designed to be held in the mouth.
