Metal Max is a non-linear, post-apocalyptic role-playing game series, created by Hiroshi Miyaoka of CreaTech, that had a primary focus on vehicular combat including tanks. Data East filing for bankruptcy in 2003 caused trademark issues, resulting in a spin-off series called "Metal Saga" to be made under Success, but these issues were later resolved in 2009 under Enterbrain which marked the revival of the "Metal Max" series.
