Michael Joseph Jackson (born: August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009 [age:50]) was an American singer and songwriter who rose prominence as a solo artist during the 1980s.

Better known as the "King of Pop", he was a recording artist, dancer, and entertainer, and one of the most successful entertainers of all time. Best known for his unusual dance moves.

Jackson was an African-American man, but suffered from Vitiligo, a chronic autoimmune disorder that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or color. His skin whitened with age as a result, with rumors circulating that he desired to appear white.
