mirko

ミルコ 兎山ルミ ラビットヒーロー miruko rumi_usagiyama usagiyama_yumi ミルコ(僕のヒーローアカデミア)

A character from Boku no Hero Academia. A professional hero with "rabbit" quirk, granting her various rabbit-like abilities such as immensely strong legs, capable of jumping at a great height, and superhuman hearing ability. Her civilian name is Usagiyama Rumi.

She is depicted as a dark skinned or tanned, athletic rabbit girl (albeit her fanart frequently depicted her with muscular body instead) with white, long hair. While under hero duties, she wears a white leotard, which when combined with her organic rabbit ears and tail can make it appears as if she's wearing a playboy bunny outfit.

Mirko was named after Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovich, a now retired mixed martial arts fighter and Kickboxer, best known for competing in Pride Fighting Championships and the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Due to a localization error, "Mirko" is sometimes inappropriately spelled as "Miruko". When he was fighting in Japan, "Mirko" had to be translated as "Miruko/ミルコ" as Japanese does not have an independent "R" sound (the hiragana らりるれろ are roughly pronounced ra-ri-ru-re-ro). Western manga translators who did not know the reference unintentionally retranslated the faulty original translation.
