mixed media

Artwork in which more than one medium or material has been employed, such as a combination of traditional media and digital (computer-based) media.

Images where the use of traditional media isn't apparent to the viewer (e.g. traditional line art existed but was mostly obliterated by digital colors) count as neither traditional media nor mixed media.

Likewise, if 3D assets are used, it must be apparent that they are 3D assets. If they are traced and colored over by hand, that is not mixed media. (e.g. post #5889413)

This tag can also be used for images with a 2D foreground drawing over a 3D or photo background.

Examples

Traditional artwork with digital coloring
Traditional drawing with masking tape
Photo bashing with posterization applied, with drawn 2D characters
2D character, 3D vehicle asset
