Jean Giraud (8 May 1938 – 10 March 2012) was a famous and influential French comics artist. He was known under the pseudonym Mœbius.
Miyazaki Hayao has admitted he directed Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa under Moebius' stylistic influence. Kobayashi Makoto was inspired by the works of Moebius to create Dragon's Heaven.
