The second game of the MOTHER (EarthBound) franchise from Nintendo. Officially titled MOTHER 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back, it was released for the Super Famicom on August 27, 1994.

This game was translated and released for the Super Nintendo in North America on June 5, 1995, officially titled EarthBound: The War Against Giygas. On June 20, 2003, this game was re-released in Japan for the Game Boy Advance along with MOTHER 1 in a 2-in-1 game: MOTHER 1+2.
