official alternate color
Alternate colors of official origin. This tag should be used when a significant amount of a character's color palette is different; if only a specific part of a character is a different color, use a different tag instead (for example, if only the hair color is different, use official alternate hair color).
Characters or beings may change colors to represent an alternate idea for the character, which could include an alternate form. This can be encountered in different forms such as a skin for a character in a video game or during a character's special action.
Do not use this tag with alternate color, the tags are mutually exclusive.
Examples
- Acheron from Honkai: Star Rail has her outfit, hair, eyes and leg tattoo change colour during her ultimate attack.
- Mega Man, as well as many other characters from the Mega Man series, changes colors depending of the weapon he has equipped.
- Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has an alternate dark color Super Smash Bros. skin.
