A piece of jewelry that hangs from a necklace, collar, or choker as the centerpiece.

Not to be confused with a necklace, which is the chain itself. A pendant is the piece that hangs from the necklace. It may also hang from a collar or choker.

If it could barely swing nor flap, it is not a pendant.
