It's literally Pickled radish, usually in the form of white cubes.
An indispensable side dish for Korean-style Fried Chicken.
The oily batter of the chicken and the sourness of the Pickled radish make for an appealing combination.

Occasionally, yellow Pickled radish is also seen, but it is clearly different in appearance from Takuan.
