pompadour
A hair style in which the front hair is swept up from the forehead into a high roll at the top of the head. Often exaggerated in animation to comical proportions. Popular with rockers (particularly Elvis impersonators), gang members, and other rebels.
The Japanese often misunderstand the pompadour as the "リーゼント (regent style)."
