An earthenware or ceramic vessel, or the practice of making such a vessel. This especially includes vessels that hold foods and drinks, like bottles, jars, pots, vases, dishes, and bowls.

Pottery is typically made from clay, but it can also be made from porcelain, earthenware, stoneware, and other ceramic materials.
