propane tank
A portable gas cylinder designed to contain flammable gases like LPG (commonly propane and butane), generally intended for cooking and heating fuel.
This tag is for the portable propane tanks larger than the fuel canisters used for portable stoves or backpacking stoves, but smaller than the large fixed tanks installed outside buildings.
Propane tanks are identifiable by their stubby shape, the presence of a metal protective collar or neck ring around the valve at the top of the canister, a huge carry handle, and a metal foot ring on the bottom.
