quilted clothes

Clothing made from multiple layers of fabric that are stitched together with padding sandwiched in between, resulting in a three-dimensional pattern. This may be done for extra insulation, for protection from injury, or for aesthetics.

Some common kinds include Channel quilting, for lengthwise stitchlines that are parallel, and Trapunto, for raised geometric shapes.
