rotisserie
A style of roasting where meat is skewered on a long solid rod call a spit that is used to hold food while it is being cooked over a fire or roasted in an oven.
A vertical rotisserie is a a rotisserie where the spit is vertical. A common feature of doner kebabs.
Not to be confused with spitroast, a sexual position.
