When the upper face or eyes are shadowed without a tangible light source.

Often used to convey a wide variety of strong emotions, such as anger, disgust, desperation, shock, intense crying or sinister intentions, to appear menacing or to obscure the character's appearance for a mysterious effect. Can be used for comedic effect.

If only one side of the face is shaded, use partially shaded face.

Do not use this tag when the character's face is shadowed simply because of a light source - use shade instead.
