Gloves that go cover all or the majority of the forearm but end bellow the elbow. If the gloves extend all the way to the elbow or past it, use elbow gloves instead, don't use this tag for every single instance of gloves, going past the wrist, a good rule of thumb is whether or not the glove covers at least half the forearm.
Gloves worn with formal dresses such as evening gowns and cocktail dresses are often known as evening gloves, with evening gloves extending past the elbow being referred to as opera gloves.
