vault dweller

The protagonist of the first Fallout game. A Vault Dweller from Vault 13, he is tasked with leaving his vault to search for a new water-purification chip after his vault's one gets damaged.

In the end, he ends up being involved in the fight against the Super Mutant threat, which he is able to put an end to. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be allowed to go back to his vault, being exiled from it, causing him to end up forming the village of Arroyo, and becoming the ancestor of The Chosen One.
