The focal setting of BIONICLE's story in 2006. It is a floating island that is precariously attached to the ocean floor by a natural cord. The city of Mahri Nui was once a part of the island, before breaking off and sinking to the ocean floor. A large chunk of the Southern Continent is revealed in 2008 to make up the inner body of Great Spirit Robot.
