A series of animated shorts from the "rubber hose era" of cartoons, created by Walter Lantz in 1940, starring the titular Woody Woodpecker.

The success of the crazy bird made him get a star on the walk of fame, an appearance in the film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and references in "Cuphead".

In Brazil, the character is a hugely popular and iconic cartoon character.
