yamamoto yoshinobu
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (山本 由伸, born August 17, 1998) is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. He made his professional debut in 2017 with the Orix Buffaloes in Japan and played with them until 2023, before moving to MLB in 2024 after getting signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers for $325 million USD, the largest ever for a pitcher.
He is largely regarded to be one of the best pitchers currently in baseball. His joining of the Dodgers, alongside Shohei Ohtani (who came from the Angels), has also really helped the team attract a strong overseas fanbase in Japan.
