zygarde core

One of two types of organisms which constitute Zygarde. They act as the Pokémon's "brain," able to gather and command large numbers of Zygarde Cells. They have two differently-sized eyes (one empty and one black) and a red hexagon on their midsection.

Two Zygarde Cores known as Z1 (nicknamed "Squishy" by Bonnie) and Z2 play a major role in the XY&Z arc of the Pokémon anime. Z2 is differently-colored, having a blue hexagon on its midsection instead of a red one.
