It's a joke about their repair times I think, Akagi (and carriers in general) in Kantai Collection have really long repair times, and can take up repair slots for a prolonged period if they get damaged.

Ooooh, I had the thought after I typed my post. Thanks. I guess my second idea kind of still works in that context, too. Damn, that's a long time; guess they have big tanks. I like it. Would definitely make for an interesting show as the line progressed.
