In case you weren't aware, the skip button exists in many VNs to help people who are looking for alternative paths after having gone some other routes beforehand either from first playthrough or encountering a bad end or an otherwise undesired path.

Some games may use a fast forward button instead, which basically serves the same purpose.

I am pretty sure he was making a joke about how no one would ever want to skip this.

Just as long as it stays a regular VN and doesn't turn into a horror story with Reisen's Lunatic Eyes!
