How is this East meets West when Transformers is from Japan
Wrong.
The two toy brands that were turned into transformers, Diaclone and Microman were Japanese. The brand itself was a joint American/Japanese re branding between Hasbro and Takara Toys. It started as an american cartoon that was exported and translated into Japanese a year after the show's premier. So in essence this still qualifies as East Meets West due to Optimus Prime existing as a character before his Japanese equivalent Convoy.
