Need a combiner group. Most destroyer divisions are too small with four shipgirls. Unless of course you take say a torpedo squadron and have the light cruiser as the center part with four destroyers attached. (most of the pre-Victory combiners groups).

Or go six equals of either a Constructicon (Devistator) or something like the Breastforce combiners with six members (Liokaiser). Or the Seacons (Piranacon) with a large center unit and four that attach plus one that turns into a weapon.

Transfleetgirls sounds like something... different.

Well, there's the Fubuki, Shirayutsu, Kagerou, and Mutsuki classes.

Kuma class (if you want to include Kitakami and Ooi) has exactly 5.

You could even do the starter 5.

Having the 1st, 2nd, and 5th carrier divisions gets you a set of 6.

For the lulz and the Tenryuu's kindergarten joke, Tenryuu and/or Tatsuta could form the center and then have 4 destroyers be the limbs.
