For years I have wanted Square-Enix to make an FF7 spin off that told the story of the Cetra's war against Jenova, something they could have done as part of the FF7 compilation.

With the remake currently in development I have been thinking of ways they could tell some of the Jenova story in the new game. Perhaps something like FF8's dream sequences were the player controls Laguna's party at certain parts of the game. These parts if in the FF7 remake could be started by the player coming into contact with the lifestream in specific areas. Like how Aerith seemed to be communicating with the lifestream in the opening of the game.
