Are you sure "military power" is the best way to translate 武力? It seems to me that in this context, it's simply referring to a shipgirl's "power" in battle as embodied by her weapons and whatever metaphysical "force" that infuses both the shipgirl and said weapons that allows them to stand on more or less equal footing with the Abyssals, unlike regular warships and ordinary humans.
