On another note, I like how Alice managed to get grill char-marks on the Salisbury steak, even though she cooked it in a pan. Probably done with a specialized heated grid just for appearances' sake.
I want to see the inside of her house at this point... it must be full of Marisa implements.
Marisa, for her own mental health, should probably stay out, though. Hope she never thinks to steal anything from Alice (besides her heart, of course).

Over where I live, it's common to cut the surface of meat and such, which kinda look like those grill marks. [I'm not too sure as to why do that though]

That cuts allow hot oil/air to soak meat deeper and roast thoroughly faster.
