Ha, I guess I lucked out on mine. It took me about 4-5 but I had to give up on it having a good nature. I was pretty disappointed that the male to female ratio was still 87.3 to 12.7% but interestingly enough my personal rate of getting a female pokemon in SM was too high.

That was my plan too, but I got the best nature at the second try and... well, didn't want to throw that away. Now he's the best trap.

I somehow was lucky enough to get a female Rowlet the moment I could pick a starter. Last time that happened was when I bought Alpha Sapphire.
