In the PV we can see Hood standing on the actual ship Hood, which then disintegrated and turned into her riggings.

Also in Aniki's L2D skin we can see her turning her riggings on and off with a snap, while the same blue visual effect is showing.

I think the riggings and real size ships in AL are kinda like Noble Phantasms in Fate, if you know what I mean.

It would be an amusing thing to see shipyard engineers who have yet to see shipgirls wonder why there are girls with unique clothing waltzing about in the docks and slipways and senior engineers talking to the Commander along with such girls with one senior engineer going "turret B's portside barrel has been replaced, lass" on one of them
