Not really. I think it's more like a running joke in the vocaloid fandom.

I be guessing cause that's the only man they know. There not really alot of guys in Vocaloid/Chibi Miku-san 4koma.
It's the same thing as Touhou actually. Rinnosuke and Kaito are pretty similar since they're the only Male characters that sorta matter and is in the story and No one likes them that much. And since they're the only ones, it's more funny to make jokes of them being hated then being love by all the girls.
