Huh. I never realized Ooyodo was that much shorter than Akashi. She doesn't seem to be in the other official art showing them together, either... odd.
I feel it's a depth perception issue (Akashi being closer to the viewer, but Ooyodo and the Admiral not being out of focus in the slightest), because Fujikawa has mostly drawn Ooyodo the same or slightly taller than Akashi. Or Fujikawa just plainly messed up on the scaling.
I tried to find a tag that represented it, but "depth of field" is wrong, in this case. And, "foreshortening" is also incorrect, so I feel it's just an error.

Yeah, I thought of that, but I don't think Akashi is supposed to be that much closer to the "camera". I mean, she's still behind the safety sign. Upon reflection, it's more likely to me that it's just an error in this one illustration.
