Secondly, it seems obvious to me that the mobster's wife cheated on him, that her son is not his son. So if Garden's leader owes a debt of gratitude to him, it'd make more sense to try and avenge him than protect someone who was potentially disloyal.

If this is indeed the case, is Yor really there to protect her? They might be using the wife as bait for non-Garden aligned agents and assassins to congregate in one location. And if that's the case, once the wife's usefulness is over, is she simply going to be allowed to move on with her life? Or is Yor going to be expected to do what she always does with "evil people"?
