Another common thing is for slapdash/mtl translations to be put into the comments, which is less official but still helpful if people really want to know.

Okay, but, machine translations are explicitly not allowed. Wanting a good, accurate translation that doesn't mangle the original meaning or invite misunderstandings is not being "choosy." If the only way someone can help is through MTL, then we don't want their help.
