I can only assume it's her tail. Kal'tsit is a Lynx which have relatively short stubby tails. It's also not the first time this artist has drawn the tail.... oddly low lets say?

That's where the tailbone is located in the human body, naturally as a humanoid, that would logically be where her tail would protrude.
