When it comes to answers, the one asking could be long gone. The answer could still be useful to someone searching, but not likely the one asking. That's why it's awkward.

But translations affect a much broader span of people.

Its never too late to translate something. It MAY be late to answer something, however in that regard Dotts pretty much said it all.
