The artist profile on twitter does mention he works in a job related to machine learning and AI. At the same time, post #10602660 substantially discredits the idea that the artist is not actually drawing.

I think what he does is draw originals by hand, then run the scans through something to make them look more computer-generated. The backgrounds in these pictures may certainly be AI-generated.
