Tagging rules are "Tag what you see, not what you know."
The only exceptions are if there is text on the image contradicting it, or when the artist's comments (on pixiv or whatever) do so.

You'd figure that if they know the characters' names, they'd know their race. Which reminds me; adds angel tag.

No, because it is easy to remember a character's name you like, and still never look into the actual series. I know that I have looked up Ymir, but only on Danbooru, and never bothered with the actual show. And doesn't everyone know that dwarven women have beards?

And only in Tolkien and Pratchett have Dwarven women had beards. I guess most writers can't get around the idea of women having facial air. Not that that's a bad thing, since Ymir is very cute the way she is.

Yeah, she's a dwarf all right, but she looks more like a halfling.

I wonder why in the anime and OVAs, they won't show Ymir in the buff, but are fine with promotional stuff.
