I think Yuuka's unconsciously sabotaging herself. She's proven too clever to ruin her partnership merely by accident, especially if she really wanted to advance to the next round.
Probably, Cirno's earnestness and good sportsmanship is making Yuuka feel insecure about her cruelty, and thus less willing to keep doing it. So she challenges Cirno.
If Cirno breaks partnership with her here, Yuuka doesn't have to face her innocence anymore -- if Cirno gives in, Yuuka gets to keep going without her compunctions getting in the way.
The fact that yuuka isn't abusing Cirno as much as she could, I don't believe she hates her THAT much. A little less then some others. Okay, many others.

it's only because Cirno is no fun to beat up on. I mean she just poofs. So that's probably y she doesn't beat on Cirno as much.

This was such a good match. I went into it hoping so bad that frozen sunflowers would win, since I just love how Cirno and Yuuka go together. But at this point in reading it the first time, I was so furious with Yuuka. Cirno x Yuuka is like a crazy mother/daughter pairing in my heart, and after seeing this, I had gone from completely rooting for Yuuka to completely rooting for the Moriya team.
All said and done though, I do like the way things turn out.
