Yeah, but ... you only get one. At that point, I think I'd trade quality for quantity.

Agreed. The ultra version works well, it's a bit expensive, but at least you can buy in bulk.

In the Gold and Silver games I had more luck with the Great Ball than using the Ultra Balls. Anyone else have that problem?

In the red/blue games I just used the Great ball(act as master ball) trick. Then again, considering how glitchy those games were....
