Actually, if you'll look closely at that pic, her hands - supposedly holding the fish - show up as paw prints, thus making the catlike hands appripriate.

But don't point that out to the "Tao has human limbs and a hot human face" crowd, they'll just say it's nothing but a joke and bring up Kokonoe. :P

Besides, she and all the Kaka are clones/descendants of Jubei anyway, and he's pretty catlike, sooo...

This is a good point, and even her bones actually show that she had "paws", but given where her hands are in her sleeves, I think the ones in this picture are perhaps a little too large.

In short, no doubt she had paws, but they're probably more normal/feminine. Her hands aren't as big as the end of her sleeves.
