It also reminds me of Silent Hill 4, sticking in the mush like that.
The sword definitely looks like the "magical girl Maria" TV show, starring Sylvia's sister. I guess it was used to kill that monstrous collection of bottom-feeding sea-life you can see in the back.
The only way I can think of that reminding someone of Silent Hill 4 was that you had to impale ghosts with "Swords of Obedience" to make them stick in place and not bother you anymore.
Seika's face is funny, but I don't like how far the promotional art is from the original character designs from Komori Kei. Come to think of it, the anime's character designs weren't that close to the originals either.
haha the maid's cake is awesome, love the bit she put at the top of her's. who's cake do you think that would have been than that got slashed with the sword? (if you can call it one)
