Or it's using a Final Fantasy 4 type of combat. Green being ready to attack while red is charging.

How does tha tmake sense? If those bars are their HP, and Sanae's is full, that would mean that 999 is her max... though I'm going with EverlastingRain's description.

Actually, if you look at the enemies, one of them has a bar over their head, but the others don't. It suggests that it is indeed a health bar. I don't know any game that follows the ATB made for Final Fantasy that has it show the enemies time...and it doesn't make sense to show only one.

I was gonna say, I never imagined Suwako to be that unable to take a beating that she would be the one with the lowest health in a party.

Look at Byakunen, I do not know a single game where having so much HP would show a red bar. Attack ready is more likely on that.

Indeed, the green bar over the "single" enemy, would most likely mean one of the two things:

1.- It shows charged bar of enemies that only have it full
and most likely
2.-, it shows the health bar of your actual target, see that pointer selecting it?

Disgaea goes that high.

Maybe it's a health bar that fills from right to left? That'd put the three goddesses at around 999 max hp, though Byakuren would have like a gajillion...

EDIT: Unless of course her stats always display 763 regardless of what they actually are.

I guess the health bar is in multiple layer. I mean, deplete the green health bar, you get full yellow health bar, and so on.

Which basically mean Sanae's level is ridiculously low that she get full green health bar for relatively same amount of HP compared to other char.

I guess most of you didn't play FF on the snes.

We did, we just played a million other games too so FF doesn't stand out as the only correct interpretation.
