I'm not sure what to do with the title here. ひざもと literally means "by one's knee", or as a figure of speech "close at hand" or "familiar". The comic suggests both meanings, but I don't know (or can't think of) any reasonably equivalent phrase in English.

You could try "Close at hand... and foot" for lack of a better solution at the moment with a note explaining the Japanese.

Wouldn't this also mean "under one's care?"
