Samus is just stopping by so see what the guys are doing. I don't think she'd be very comfortable among the princesses, anyway. All her friends in the various manga, comics and games have been male, so she's not used to girly girl stuff.
She would probably get along well with Lyndis though, if we include support summons.

They have Yoshi and Kirby on this side, the former of which lays eggs and to the latter of which the concept of "gender" probably doesn't exactly apply, so I doubt its ENTIRELY a gender-segregation thing.
