The United States Marine Corps Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR, NSN 1005-01-458-6235; more formally the United States Rifle, 7.62 mm, M14, DMR) is a semi-automatic, gas-operated rifle chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. It is a modified version of the M14 rifle built and utilized by the United States Marine Corps.
M14 is an M1 with a detachable magazine and sometimes a synthetic stock, and a full-auto sear. The action is the same otherwise.
I appreciate the effort, but please, be sure to check and use established tags that are listed in the list of weapons. We can't afford to distinguish between all the model types, so we mostly use the platforms / model lines to tag them. There are exceptions, though (mp5k, m4_carbine, M21), so check the list anyway.
